Fraudulent activity includes, but is not limited to:
Artificially inflating streams, downloads, or views through bots, click farms, or automated systems.
Using deceptive practices to generate royalties (including looped playback, bulk fake accounts, or incentivized listening).
Uploading content without proper rights, licenses, or permissions.
Manipulating chart positions or playlist placements by non-organic means.
Providing false information during registration or payment processing.
Laundering money through royalty systems.
We actively monitor for fraud using:
Digital platform alerts (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, etc.)
Internal analytics and suspicious activity flags.
Manual reviews of streaming and sales reports.
Verification of ownership and metadata accuracy.
Cooperation with anti-fraud teams from our partner platforms.
If fraudulent activity is detected, Waves Music Group reserves the right to:
Immediately remove affected content from all platforms.
Freeze and/or permanently withhold royalty payments generated from fraudulent activity.
Terminate the offender’s account without refund.
Report the incident to relevant authorities and industry bodies.
Pursue legal action for damages caused.
Only upload content you fully own or have the right to distribute.
Promote your music ethically, without using bots or fake engagement services.
Provide accurate metadata and documentation for your releases.
Cooperate with investigations if suspicious activity is reported.
If you believe your account or royalties have been flagged in error, you may submit an appeal within 14 days of notification by contacting us at [wavesmusicgroup@mail.com].
Appeals must include:
Evidence of legitimate promotion or activity.
Proof of content ownership.
Relevant promotional campaign details.
We may update this Anti-Fraud Policy at any time to adapt to new threats or industry standards. The updated version will be posted on our website with the "Last Updated" date.
